We understand the frustration many clients have with traditional law firm fees—high hourly rates with no end in sight and no guaranteed result. There is a movement afoot in America to modify the billing practice of law firms. In a recent article the president of the American Bar Association stated: “We need to start looking at value instead of cost when determining fair payment for services.”

You have choices. We offer alternative fee arrangements designed to suit our clients. For those clients who prefer, we provide traditional hourly billing at variable rates depending on the nature of the engagement. This standard arrangement is suitable to those clients accustomed to and comfortable with traditional American law firms. We also offer practical alternative solutions to those who prefer a more defined fee such as flat fees, contingent fees and result-oriented fees.

In a very heartfelt way, we accept some clients who simply cannot afford to pay or to pay the full fee. At ChappelWang, we believe that all lawyers have an obligation for public service. Where appropriate, we are ready to contribute our services to those who need a helping hand.
