Andrew Hattery

Andrew Hattery is a consultant to ChappelWang PLLC. As a registered immigration assistant for the State of Washington, he assists our attorneys on cases that require his specialized skills.

Mr. Hattery spent thirty-three years as an officer of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), and was Port Director for sixteen of those years. He held various other positions throughout his career, including Immigration Patrol Inspector, Training Officer, Immigration Inspector, Criminal Investigator, and acting Deportations Officer, Immigration Examiner, and Immigration Trial Attorney.

Mr. Hattery has consulted with a variety of lawyers worldwide and is well versed in current procedures for USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) and CBP (Customs and Border Protection). He brings an exceptional level of knowledge and experience to the firm, and his long career as an immigration officer makes him uniquely qualified to assist in many of our cases.

Mr. Hattery meets our clients on the Canadian side of the border, providing final advice regarding the application packet and border procedures. He then escorts our clients through the interview process.
